Detainee prisoners situation in Afghanistan
With regards to the detainee prisoners situation in Afghanistan ,why are the opposition parties (Liberals, NDP) and members of the news media in this country, making this thing into a three ring circus. The Afghan army and the Afghan government should be dealing with this problem, not the Canadian military.
Sad to say the opposition parties here are just using this situation to try and make the Conservatives and our Military look bad.The Taliban are a very evil group of people who murder, torture, kidnap, and be-head innocent men, women and children.These evil insurgents have also been responsible for the deaths of our Canadian soldiers who are trying to make a difference and help re-build Afghanistan. As a proud Canadian who stands up for our military, I could care less what happens to these evil Islamic fundamentalists.
Our troops need to stay there until the Taliban are defeated and Afghanistan can start to stand on it’s own.Yes , some NATO countries need to step up to the plate.I think that it is a disgrace when people like Jack Layton say that the situation in Afghanistan can not be won.How the hell does he know.Seems that Layton and party can not win in a Federal Election, so why doesn’t he quit and with- draw from politics.The man has shown so much disrespect and lack of support for our troops, with the stupid comments that he makes.
