CARIBANA!
THE STREETS WILL BLAZE
WITH COSTUMED THRONGS
STRUTTING THEIR STUFF
IN A DAZZLING SHOW
AS THE MUSIC AND SONGS
OF SUN-SPLASHED-ISLES
BRING A TROPICAL GLOW
TO OLD TO.
THE CITY WILL SWAY
TO CALYPSO BANDS
WHEN THE CARNIVAL-OF-JOY
FLAUNTS ITS SPARKLING GOWN
AND ITS JOI-DE-VIVRE IN OLD TO
WHEN CARIBANA COMES TO TOWN.

THE TORONTO BLUE JAYS WENT TO PHILLY
FAR AWAY FROM HOME AND DOME
TO TRY TO BEAT THE GRUNGIES SILLY
AND BRING THE SERIES ‘ TROPHY HOME
GAME FOUR IS ONE WE’LL ALL REMEMBER
FOR A BINGO SCORE AND FLAKY PLAYS
BUT IN THE END THE GRUBBY- PHILLIES
LOST OUT TO THE CLEAN- CUT JAYS
THE SERIES SHUTTLED BACK AND [...]

Re “Toronto New Jays arrive.” (June 24).
Just because Cito Gaston coached the Blue Jays of yesteryear to victory in two World Series, doesn’t mean he can steer the current Jays
to a theepeat. Nostalgia is all very well, but you can’t recall, except on video, the splendor on the grass or the glory of [...]

Dear Editor,
Re Miller’s power grab.
Only a potential MENSA member like David Miller is capable of seeing the philosophical connection between legal and illegal gunslingers. Miller is on the right track in shutting down the gun clubs in order to rid our streets of armed thugs. But the Mayor shouldn’t stop [...]

Dear Editor,
Re: “Gun-toting Yanks” not welcome in Toronto
As a paper that is quite familiar with stacking adjectives on top of people as a means of attack I’d have thought the qualifiers encased in quotation marks (”gun totin’ Yanks”) would have clearly denoted my intended target… “Gun totin’ Yanks”.
Let’s be clear - regular, law abiding peace [...]

Thank you Mr Arthur WEINREB. For your article ” GUN TOTING YANKS NOT WELCOME IN TORONTO ! ”
It is wonderful to see an articulate, concise and factual opinion. The “so-called mayor ” of Toronto Mr Miller. Has displayed his inner self to the world. His ideology [...]

Dear Editor,
Re: “Gun-toting Yanks” not welcome in Toronto
My name is Christopher Doleman, and I am a LEGAL Canadian firearms owner. I am very pleased to read a piece of news, with actual FACTS about firearms, and how incredibly WRONG the mayor of toronto, Mr. Miller is with his blatant LIES about legal firearms in Canada. [...]

Dear Editor,
Re: “Gun-toting Yanks” not welcome in Toronto
Adam Miller’s behavior, and Mr. Vaughan’s insulting statement of support, will indeed assure that my vacation dollars will be spent elsewhere. However, these clowns are representative of an official attitude toward Americans that is currently infecting all levels of the Canadian government, so I’ll also go one [...]

Dear Editor,
Re: “Gun-toting Yanks” not welcome in Toronto
Whenever I read about some politician’s uncontrollable urge to ban firearms, I cannot help but think about the work of Sigmund Freud and Carl Gustav Jung; “Interpretation of dreams”
These guys went to great length to explain how a fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and [...]

Dear Editor,
Re: “Gun-toting Yanks” not welcome in Toronto
It’s easy to see why CFP is doing so well. This article was well-written, well-balanced, intelligent and witty, all of which are characteristics missing from nearly all other American and Canadian sources of news.
