The bio fuel madness is gathering momentum, and it’s not good news for the poor and hungry. Putting one man’s dinner into another man’s car, hardly seems like a sensible or ethical way of solving the worlds problems. How did we get to “biofuel madness” Environmentalisms exploited for political purposes, is the short answer.
Another madness includes the carbon credit shell game that does nothing to reduce CO2. There is an erroneous belief that CO2 is a pollutant. Actually, it’s the most important gas in the atmosphere, not because of it’s greenhouse properties but because it is essential to plant growth and thereby the production of oxygen. Reducing CO2 will not only affect climate change, but can put all life on earth in jeopardy.
Foolishly we have developed global energy and economic policies based on incorrect science, promulgated by extremists. The red flags are everywhere, but a combination of deliberate misdirection by some politicians and scientists amplified by the mainstream media has managed to fuel the insanity. Those who dare to question are bullied into silence with accusations that they don’t care about the planet or the future. Normal scientific methods was hijacked by politics. Scientists create theories based on assumptions, which are then tested to determine validity before becoming accepted. Since 2000 global temperatures decreased slightly, then dropped significantly in the first two months of 2008, while CO2 levels continued to increase. Ironically, proponents of AGW, Anthropogenic Global Warming, have painted themselves into a corner by claiming most of the recent warming is due to human CO2. So in order to stop global climate change, which is not being caused by CO2, they are jeopardizing all plant growth, food production and economics.
In another study, directly relevant to today’s climate controversy, Dr. Shaviv a prolific researcher on the movements of meteorites does not subscribe to the idea that the CO2 in our atmosphere is the true cause of global warming. He believes that things are much more complicated than stories told by climate scientists or the stories regurgitated by the media. Dr. Shiviv through his digging, has led him to the surprising discovery that there is no concrete evidence –only speculation– that man-made greenhouse gases cause global warming.
Even research from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change–the United Nations agency that heads the worldwide effort to combat global warming is bereft of anything here, inspiring confidence. Dr. Shaviv believes fossil fuels should be controlled, not because of their adverse effects on climate but to curb pollution. He is in favor of developing cheap alternatives such as solar power, wind and of course fusion reactors (converting Deuterium into Helium) which we should have in a few decades.
He concludes by saying, “I am quite sure Kyoto is not the right way to go”., Something more and more people around the world are finally beginning to realize, greenhouse gasses are not the real cause of global warming.
