The Islamic Tide

By Jeffery Nyquist

Monday, November 6, 2006

The Muslim "street" in the Middle East has a saying. "First comes Saturday, then comes Sunday." According to Brigitte Gabriel<>, a survivor of the Muslim terror in Lebanon, this saying means, "first we fight the Jews, then we come for the Christians." It must be admitted, of course, that Muslims haven't waited for Israel's defeat to begin attacking Christians." Once upon a time the peaceful Christians of Lebanon built a democracy with open borders in the Middle East, and the Muslims destroyed it. They couldn't help themselves. One day they began murdering Christians until the country was no longer recognizable. Christians fled the rubble of their homes. The same situation is now repeating itself in Iraq. The New York Times Headline story on October 17 was, "Iraq's Christian Minority Flees As Extremist Threat Worsens." As reported in the Times, Christian churches in Iraq are regularly bombed, Christians are assassinated, priests are kidnapped and beheaded, and hundreds of thousands of Christians have fled their homes and abandoned their businesses.

Brokeback Ford

By Nathan Tabor

Friday, September 22, 2006

There was a time when the Ford Motor Company was synonymous with family. You might remember Dad packing you and your brothers and sisters into a Ford headed for a day at the beach, the zoo, or the farm. Ford meant stability, security, and tradition.

The Pope versus the dictatorship of white, liberal relativism

By Anthony Oluwatoyin

Thursday, September 21, 2006

The Western media continues to present Moslemist monsters as the primary spokesmen for Islam. These savages are in fact pseudo-Muslims who no more speak for any religion than pedophiles are child-care practitioners.

Plan B Negates Need for Abortion

By Nathan Tabor

Tuesday, September 12, 2006

I was heartened to see anchorwoman Katie Couric including a free speech segment in her new version of the CBS Evening News. Free speech remains one of the greatest liberties available to us as American citizens.

And yet, the cost of free speech can be quite dear for those who engage in speech that is considered politically incorrect.

The Party of Death's Ploy

by Nathan Tabor

Wednesday, July 19, 2006

The national Democratic Party, which author Ramesh Ponnuru calls the Party of Death, has set its sights on African-Americans during this critical election year.

Democrats Hypocritical on Marriage

by Nathan Tabor
Tuesday, June 13, 2006
It’s become the common refrain in numerous news reports around the country–Republicans are simply using the Marriage Amendment as an election-year ploy to get voters to back GOP candidates in the fall.

The religion of peace?

by Klaus Rohrich
Saturday, May 27, 2006
For those feeling guilty about being a part of "Western imperialism", you might be interested in learning that your guilt is misplaced and the hatred aimed at you by Islamic fundamentalists has nothing to do with to do with post-colonialism and everything to do with the inherent militance of Islam. In a recently published book Islamic Imperialism A History by Efraim Karsch, head of the Mediterranean Studies Programme, King’s College, University of London, the author offers an alternative, if not heretical viewpoint on the rise of Islamic imperialism.

The Ingratitude of a Would Be Suicide Bomber

By Paolo Bassi, Islam Watch
Friday, May 19, 2006

The long and expensive trial of the French-Moroccan, Zacarias Moussaoui, the "20th hijacker" of the 9-11 attacks in the United States, finally ended on May 4, 2006, when he received a life sentence instead of the death penalty sought by the prosecution. Unless it was false bravado, Moussaoui had taunted the court during his trial, seeming not to care about the possibility of death. Leaving a legacy of martyrdom may have been on his mind.

The Media Jihad:
Aljazeera and Islamic Terrorism

By Mumin Salih, Islam Watch
Monday, May 15, 2006
Aljazeera started broadcasting in 1996 in the Gulf state of Qatar. In spite of its popularity it was almost unknown outside the Arab world until the terrorist attack of 9/11. Nowadays, Aljazeera has a rating that competes with the BBC and CNN. It is expanding fast and recently it started an English language service.  This Television Station was established on the order of Sheikh Hamad Al Thani soon after he seized power in 1995. It is interesting to know that this Emir came to power by ousting his own father Sheikh Khalifa Al Thani while the latter was on a trip abroad. As a result, Sheikh Khalifa was prevented from returning to his country, and since then he lived in exile, while his son appointed himself as the ruler of the country.

National Day of Regret

by Nathan Tabor
Friday, May 12, 2006

To hear liberals tell it, George W. Bush doesn’t have a prayer of succeeding.

What with the war in Iraq, soaring gasoline prices, and the high cost of medical care, the President’s critics dismiss him on good days as ineffectual…on bad days as a dunce.

The gospel of Judas? Rubbish

By John Lawrence
Tuesday, April 18, 2006
Not a day goes by it seems that some new 'important' discovery is made whether it be in the way of missing links, new clues to our ancestry, proof of water on Mars, etc. There is a determined industry worth billions of dollars dedicated to proving the Bible's supposed fallacies.

State and Faith:
To guard against the low limitations of narrow narcissisms

by Beryl Wajsman, Institute for Public Affairs of Montreal
Thursday, March 30, 2006

Salam Elmenyawi, president of the Muslim Council of Montreal, is wrong. The Quebec Human Rights Commission decision in favor of Muslim students’ prayer rooms at the École de technologie supérieure was not a victory for all and certainly not for liberty.

Rewarding the Violent, Penalizing the Tolerant

By Ron Banerjee
Wednesday, March 22, 2006

To preserve freedom, it is vital for democratic societies to audit themselves to ensure that our actions encourage behavior in accordance with our core beliefs, and penalize unacceptable conduct. The West is doing the precise opposite in its treatment of Muslim fanatics, especially in comparison to well-behaved minorities like Hindus.

The Kirpan Decision:
The Supremes fail again

by Beryl Wajsman, Institute for Public Affairs of Montreal
Monday, March 6, 2006

"State submission to special interests will do nothing more than heighten irrational feelings of superiority and strengthen unreasonable commitments to particularity. Rather than encouraging social peace, they will incite further irritation between religious and secular, straight and gay, as our legal system struggles to accommodate the inevitable explosions of legislation, regulation and exception.

The liberals' intolerance

by Klaus Rohrich
Wednesday, February 8, 2006

Last week I heard some left-wing commentator talk about how "dangerous" the "Religious Right" is and how an overtly Christian agenda has wound its way into conservatism. Hmmm. As a card-carrying member of the vast-right-wing-conspiracy this is news to me.

The ACLU--Not looking out for your best interests

by Nathan Tabor
Monday, February 6, 2006

When you hear the word "America," the word "liberty" naturally comes to mind.  This nation was founded upon the principle of freedom--that an individual citizen should be master of his or her own fate.  We should be free to pursue the career of our choice, free to practice our faith, and free to establish homes and families.

Jesus Sells: The Real Reason for Kanye's Rap

by Nathan Tabor
Friday, February 3, 2006

Kanye West’s song, Jesus Walks won him a Grammy award in 2005.  In his song, he spouts his faith in Jesus, peppering his theme that ‘Jesus walks with everyone’ throughout his lyrics.  Now, we have Kanye posing as Jesus on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine.  Is Kanye motivated by a devout need to bring Jesus back to the people? Is he trying to revive faith in Jesus in our youth?  Not likely. Kanye West is out to sell his music, out to make as much money as he possibly can and build his own wealth.
