Trudeau tripling and quadrupling down on the bizarre and disassociative Poilievre/Diagolon narrative is especially offensive when expressed at these utterly pointless "housing announcement" pressers. The very point of the presser is predicated on the idea that he's there to provide "fairness to the next generation."

Like a dangerous stranger who lures children into a white van with the prospect of candy, he creates these presser events, forces students to attend, starts by talking about what a terrible situation he's put their generation into, and then randomly and unexpectedly goes on-and-on in puzzling Castro-style rants about a supposed "backsliding of democracy" that only exists for a deranged audience of one. He marches onward seemingly endlessly, taking these students on a bizarre journey filled with vague warnings about Diagolon and Alex Jones - entities I would wager almost none of these 20-somethings have ever heard of.

The hostages look on with a befuddled combination of contempt, confusion and concern.
