Our Land, Our Farms, Our Farmers

all four one Rural revolution: Stop the destruction Convoy 4

by Randy Hillier, President, Lanark Landowners’ association

Tuesday, March 1, 2005

Farmers have a clear choice in their future and that of their children in March, 2005. They can choose to accept the corrupt and unrepresentative status quo, and maintain the poverty and theft of farm income. Or they can choose a tomorrow where property and prosperity are protected with the Lanark Landowners, on March 9 at Queens Park.

The success and momentum of the LLa has galvanized all rural landowners under the umbrella of freedom that protects us from the storm of legalized theft through excessive regulations and over legislation. all members of the landowners and our affiliated associations have joined through choice, there are no mandatory dues, check offs, nor threats to revoke privileges such as tax rebates, licensing or broker authorizations, or loss of quotas etc. Membership in the LLa is not extorted, coerced or legislated, and people have the free will to leave, unlike membership in other associations.

On March 9, the united landowners, along with farmers, saw mill operators, campgrounds, community groups, and others will enter Queens Park and assemble. This democratic coalition will demand the passage of eleven resolutions to enshrine and protect the heritage, culture and lifestyle of rural Ontario. Furthermore these resolutions will return the millions of dollars stolen from rural Ontario, and ensure that governments and monopolies never have the opportunity to steal farm/rural incomes again.

The campaign of deception, innuendo, and outright lies that has attempted to undermine rural landowners and our objective of achieving a fair and reasonable level of protection and prosperity, has failed.

The choice is clear for rural Ontario and farmers, either accept and sanction the status quo of injustice, corruption and never — ending theft of farm incomes, or demand a future of justice and prosperity.

March 9 is not only a demonstration of our resolve and determination, but a day in which changes will be made. Those who wish to have a stake in the future governance of Rural Ontario will be at Queens Park on March 9. and will stand shoulder to shoulder with their neighbors and landowners from across Ontario.

On Tuesday March 1, MPP’s Toby Barrett, and John O’Toole will table three of the 11 landowners' resolutions into the provincial legislature. In addition, the united Landowners have been asked to attend and will meet with the Ontario PC caucus on Tuesday, March 1.
