Boy, I sure was pleased to finally hear that the last of that traveling circus of Egyptian college boys had finally been run to ground by the FBI, leaving Whitey Bulger and about 12 million illegal aliens at large in america, except, of course, for the thousands who have swarmed over the border in the meantime.
Well, Whitey may be abroad somewhere, perhaps in his secret thatched roof cottage in Ireland, or pushing up daisies somewhere, but he'll be laughing at all of this if he's above ground.
But after all the expenses, gas cards, phone bills, shoe leather, tips, meetings, false leads, dead ends, travel, and ballyhoo expended in hunting down those errant foreign college students, you wonder how the undocumented workers would fare if half of this federal ardor was expended on hunting them down.
Recently some wag explained on a Texas radio station which I caught just south of Livingston, on my way to Nacogdoches, that of the billion or so Muslims in the world, if only one percent or so were really bad eggs we'd be looking at about 10 million problem omelet's.
Boy, I thought to myself as I dodged an upturned 18 wheeler full of woodchips, the assorted fire engines, rescue vehicles, troopers and sheriff's cars which clogged Route 59 and slowed traffic to a crawl, that's reason enough to start thinking about something more for the southern border than maps, water, hand shakes, a quick round or two of shadow boxing with the footloose a la Bill Richardson, and aCLU suits filed in conjunction with those brought by the Mexican government to condemn our own people for daring to protect their own sovereign rights and property from predation.
I guess I'm a little tired of that old saw of a hundred thousand busses needed at this moment to transport the illegals back to Mexico.
But that's not how you do it.
No, you perform this parlor trick the same that you used to do it, a few at a time, wherever and whenever you run into the poor felonious wretches - some of whom are bent on our destruction.
There was some horrible batch of statistics on television the other day, tossed off by a think tank, which showed how skewed the population of the good old USa is going to be with the continuation of the lack of any control whatsoever on our borders.
and it showed the Granite State, New Hampshire, the Live Free or Die state, my state, will entertain a 36-48% immigrant population by 2015 or so, based on the current trends, most of whom will be unskilled and, of course, non-English speaking and most likely Democrats.
Well regardless of their party affiliations, just what will this massive influx of folks with no marketable abilities whatsoever, who can't speak English in a state increasingly noted for high-tech do for the economy, for property taxes, for the educational system, for the already burdened system of free handouts? Nobody around here has any idea.
These are the questions that the politicos up here aren't even willing to discuss, let alone acknowledge, as Governor Lynch, a Democrat, is openly toadying to every possible minority group he can lay his hands on, while vetoing the latest bill requiring a photo ID to vote.
at the same time, the same study showed that this same flood tide of immigrants is headed for other parts of the country, the upper Midwest, New England, areas least able to handle their needs and to assimilate them. and, it was stated, in some cases, legal long time citizens will find themselves adrift in a growing sea of illegals, who speak in a foreign tongue, who practice foreign customs.
Just where is the United States of america headed?
Nobody knows anymore. Who can say with any certainty, least of all the bumbling caitiffs in the US Senate who are working so diligently to insure the destruction of the country we grew up in, which our forefathers bequeathed us.
Sadly, Mr. Bush, who is fighting the war on terror so earnestly, remains blind to the encroaching doom which threatens us from within as a result of his utter failure to corral the millions of scofflaws flooding us from the south.
Nevertheless, the Democrats, who paint themselves as tough on the borders, ports, and in the air, are as transparent in their proven fecklessness and repetitive cowardice as any group of assembled solons in our history. Their leadership, riddled as it is with outright liars, base poltroons, rank appeasers, and deaf golden pheasants, the list of whom is too long to actually print, provides nothing but the weakest eyewash and desultory mewling in their latest iteration of a warmed over platform of stolen ideas and soft platitudes which currently coddle terror.
But we can say that we just wrestled 11 Egyptian college kids to the ground after an intense nationwide manhunt, by God, as if that, in our hopeless position where we float between the Scylla and Charybdis of our final destruction, is some form of consolation to the sleeping victims of our discontent.
Sadly, we have 12 million to go and I see nobody, anywhere, with the will and the foresight necessary to get the enforcement job done.
Or have we already surrendered to the inevitable destruction of our way of life? I sometimes forget what the hell we're doing anymore.
