Electronic Intifada, Palestinians, fake atrocity
Pallywood revisited: A new fake atrocity by the PLO

The Palestinian Arabs are very frustrated over the reporting of the alleged shooting of an artillery shell from an Israeli ship that supposedly killed a Palestinian family out for a day of sun worshipping. One of their key websites in the West is Electronic Intifada operated by Canadian Nigel Parry, a man who never met a revolutionary terrorist movement he didn't like.
The Israelis, in customary classy but poor PR style, apologized in advance in case any Arab civilians might have been killed and played right into the hands of the propagandists of the PLO by doing so. The Arabs have been wringing their hands and indignantly claiming fifteen Palestinians were killed this week and implying they were all innocent civilians, when at least one of those killed was a Hamas leader and most of the others were involved in firing missiles into Israel. They conveniently ignored the 20 to 40 missiles a day fired at the Israeli town of Sderot in the Negev that has made the bustling town into a ghost town and puts Israeli civilians in constant unbearable fear for their lives and the lives of their children. The Kassems also target elementary schools and daycare centers.
Of course, Electronic Intifada claims the "lack of interest" by the western media is because of racist sentiment against Arabs. Ah, those poor, poor, Arabs. The West gives them billions of our hard earned tax dollars to make a peaceful democratic state, and makes Israel withdraw from Gaza, and we won't appreciate their undying quest and obsessive need to drive the Jews into the sea. How racist and unsporting of us.
The real reason this story of an atrocity on the beach hasn't drawn excessive interest is similar to the tale of the boy who cried wolf. Americans were dismayed at the start of the Intifada in 2000 when a 12 year-old Palestinian boy named Mohammed al-Durrah was allegedly shot and killed by Israeli soldiers in Gaza. Now, just recently, the Palestinian cameraman who filmed that "atrocity" recanted his story when the outtakes from the French news outlet that hired him revealed the whole scene was faked for the cameras. Fool me once and you're a genius, but fool me twice and you're a lying son-of-a-bitch, especially after you take my tax dollars meant for peace and use them to buy guns to conduct unending war on Israel.
The immediate film that came out about the "beach attack" was so apparently staged, and 11 year-old Huda Abu Ghalia such a bad actress, that most people in the West were hard pressed not to laugh despite efforts by the leftist media to take the "attack on a civilian family" seriously. See for yourself here. Little Ghalia, in the throes of grief (and under the direction of the cameraman no doubt), begins a wailing act and throwing sand all over herself in a scene worthy of Sarah Bernhardt. Welcome to Pallywood again with more staged atrocities and one very bad child actress. Her "dead" father lies nearby in the video too, but, alas, the filmmaker forgot to bring the fake blood. Anyone killed by an artillery shell would be torn to pieces and his clothes torn and bloody. Apparently Poppa Ghalia didn't want to sully his clothes too much for this film that even a college film student could have done better. See for yourself here. The filmmaker who made this short, of course, just happened to be on the beach and by coincidence spliced in some footage of an Israeli vessel offshore firing a round in sequence to the storyline and then also inserted by the same coincidence a huge subtitle of the one word question "Why?" (In English no less) on other versions. The goal of course is not to ask why would the Israelis, who just deported 9,000 of their own people to make peace, be killing those "innocent" Palestinians, but rather to imply the Israelis are murdering the Arabs for simple sport. Instead of the Arabs turning Gaza into a prosperous community, people in the West wonder why the Palestinians still shoot missiles inside Israel every day and expect Americans and Canadians to be fooled yet again by another Mohammed al- Durrah-like staged fake. There was no crater where this "explosion" occurred because in fact there was no such round fired on the beach. If anyone was injured or killed, it was more likely due to an errant Kassem rocket, one of the 20 to 40 a day meant to kill Israelis. Even the least media savvy of those in the West can spot a badly acted and staged drama, and this one was as badly staged and acted as possible.
The definition of the Yiddish word "chutzpah" is someone who murders his parents then throws himself on the mercy of the judge because he is an orphan. The Palestinians refused to cooperate on forensic tests of the terrain or the "victims."
Of the wounded Arabs who showed up in Israel for free medical care (as usual), and who were alleged to be victims of the Israeli navy, tests revealed that their shrapnel wounds did not come from the naval artillery ordnance.
The next time the Arabs want to fake an atrocity against Israel, they should hire a better actress and filmmaker. The West has had it with such bad showmanship, especially when the price of a ticket is so high.
