The Organization of Islamic Conferences ("OIC") has become the diplomatic and public relations arm of the Islamic-fascists. It uses the United Nations to gain international legitimacy for an Islamic-centric agenda that whitewashes the Shiite and Sunni religious extremists who have declared a holy jihad against our freedoms. Justifying its quest for ever more Muslim control of the United Nations' major bodies -- including a permanent seat on the Security Council -- the OIC boasts that it is "the largest institution after the United Nations, which brings together one-fifth of the world population" and is "the second largest intergovernmental organisation in terms of the number of member states". But the OIC has no right to claim a permanent seat on the one UN body charged with responsibility for collective international peace and security, given the OIC's record of encouragement to the Islamic-fascists in its midst.
The OIC already controls the agenda of the new UN Human Rights Council.
An OIC press release dated August 11, 2006 proudly proclaimed that "in response to the joint request by the Organization of the Islamic Conference and League of Arab States for urgently considering the alarming human rights situation in Lebanon caused by the Israeli military operations, the 2nd Special session of United Nations Human Rights Council has been convened and concluded its works on Friday, August 11, 2006 by adopting a proposed resolution by the Organization of the Islamic Conference…The adoption of this Resolution constitutes a great success for the members of the OIC Group in Geneva and the International Community in general. It also represents the first common concrete diplomatic response to address the massive violations of human rights committed by the excessive Israeli military operations in Lebanon." (emphasis added)
The Human Rights Council followed the OIC's direction when it decided to condemn only Israel and to ignore Hezbollah's daily barrage of rockets targeted deliberately against civilian populations in Israel as well as the Hezbollah terrorists' use of human shields to hide behind in Lebanon. The OIC, using the Human Rights Council as the surrogate for the opinion of the so-called 'international community', positioned Islamic terrorists as the victims of Israel's alleged violations of 'international law.' This is right out of the same playbook that OIS followed a couple of months ago in engineering a one-sided condemnation of Israel for its actions against the Hamas terrorists in Gaza.
Forging coalitions with other non-democratic states that make up the majority of the UN General Assembly, the OIC's member states are also turning the General Assembly into an anti-American, anti-Israel forum that provides cover for Islamic-fascism. H.E. Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary General of the OIC, requested more than a year ago -- prior to the uproar over the Danish newspaper caricatures that sparked riots across the Muslim world -- that "the United Nations to adopt a resolution prohibiting the linking of the word 'terrorism' with Islam in any way." (emphasis added) The OIC has since exploited the cartoons to garner support for its demand to banish terms like Islamic-fascism from permissible public discourse and has managed to make headway with the politically correct European Union. The OIC intends to ram through a resolution at the next session of the General Assembly that would lay the basis for criminalizing speech that it contends 'defames' Islam. In addition to its own large bloc of Muslim countries, the OIC expects votes for its anti-free speech resolution from feckless European governments and from many undeveloped countries who view it as another swipe against the United States.
Unfortunately for the OIC's speech code campaign, truth is a complete defense to any charges of defamation. Homicidal bombings and other deliberate killings of innocent civilians are committed by self-professed Muslims in the name of Islam. Spanning the globe from the U.S. on 9/11 to Madrid, London, Russia, India, Indonesia and, of course, the Middle East, Islamic-fascists are waging their world-wide war against civilized societies. Why does the OIC gloss over these crimes against humanity? Where is its outrage at the horrific plot to bomb ten trans-Atlantic flights from the United Kingdom to the United States, foiled just days before it was set to take place, which could have cost 4000 innocent lives?
Instead, the OIC issues bromide statements about the need for tolerance and mutual understanding while spewing its own hateful rhetoric. For example, it attacks what it calls the "ongoing judaization" of Jerusalem -- which the OIC refers to as "the occupied City of Al Quds". They even condemn Israel's efforts to "highlight Jewisharchitecture there as part of attempts to judaize the holy city." Just like in Nazi Germany, terms are used as euphemisms to justify acts of terror. Hitler's Germany used the term "Entjudung" (de-Judaization) to describe the confiscation of Jewish business and lands in Germany. The OIC accuses Israel of 'judaizing' Jerusalem which, for over 3300 years, has been the Jewish religion's sacred capital. The OIC uses the language of Nazis to justify the actions of Islamic-fascists who would wipe away any Jewish presence from Jerusalem permanently and deny Jews their historical heritage.
The OIC could play a constructive role by working to encourage the moderate Muslims who are working for reform and modernization of their societies. It could speak out publicly against hate in all of its manifestations -- against Jews and other non-Muslims as well as against Muslims. The OIC has declared at times that it means to do just that, but somehow never seems to follow through. To the contrary, it seeks to ban the truth from public discourse about the global campaign of terror in the name of Islam and it has adopted the Nazi language of 'de-judaization'. In so doing, the OIC is using its prestige and power in the United Nations to put a respectable face on Islamic fascism.
