Alberta Electrician John: I am a permanent resident of Alberta and have been here for 22 years and I am a red seal Electrician. I have been renewing my license every 3 years with a simple easy process through the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities since obtaining it 33 years ago while living in Ontario. I received a letter last week about a new system called the Ontario College of Trades and my mandatory membership requirement for 500% increase for mandatory membership. Why is there a 500% increase?
