We received a plea for help from a shelter in West Virginia that we work frequently with on Thursday.Henry, the plotthound mix pictured below, was found in WV, after having been walking around lost, having been shot under the eye.
They removed the bullet and once he was well enough to leave the vet, they had no choice but to have to send him back to the shelter, where they had no more space, so he would have had to be euthanized via a gas chamber (the shelter has no say in the method of euthanasia, thankfully they work with rescues to get as many animals out as possible). The Comment section of online publications is the new front in the ongoing Cancel Culture Battle.
