Trump, although he may be a balm for that part of the country that can be salvaged, cannot mend us, as that would take an act of God.

Well defined Charles. Thank you for being one of the few brave souls looking into the abyss and calling it what it is and declaring what it isn't. Foolishness seems to inhabit both our political class and the wealthy who should know better than to cheer on the murderous thugs who wait, ready to destroy what was built by the founding fathers and destroyed by our latest generation. We may wail and gnash our teeth but calling out to God for intervention is also appropriate. I suggest that the people of the world start listening to what the globalists are telling us. They are not even trying to hide things anymore. Thank you Charles for speaking out like you should. Why aren't our so called conservative leaders saying anything? Political correctness is the bane of our society, if you can call it that. We need more people to speak out. Changing our political president won't do much at this point. God is the only thing that will heal our nation.
